Deadly Floods Hit Argentina, Disrupt Grain Harvests

Severe flooding in Argentina’s Buenos Aires province has displaced more than 2,000 people and submerged large parts of the country’s key grain-producing region. Torrential rains of up to 250mm have delayed the soybean and corn harvests, stranding vehicles and overwhelming local infrastructure. Emergency services remain on high alert as forecasts predict more rain in the coming days.
