A section of Basoga loyal to Speaker Rebecca Kadaaga have been mobilized to demonstrate against Salaamu Musumba tomorrow (Monday).
The demonstration is meant to show that Kadaaga is untouchable In Busoga.
Sources say money has been dispatched to organizing teams in Kamuli , Jinja and Iganga.
While it is meant to demonstrate against the court petition, it’s also meant to send a message to President Museveni that he should back Kadaga to retain the position of Speaker against CEC’s earlier resolution that she serves 10 years like her predecessor Edward Sekandi.
As we write this , taxi drivers in Kamuli are telling whoever cares that they will not work tomorrow ( Monday).
Targeted for insults during the demonstrations are Salaamu Musumba, Isaac Musumba, Moses Kizige and one David Kamaali whom they see as political enemies of Kadaga.
The bigger plan according to our sources in Kadaga camp , the attempt is to bully NRM into endorsing Kadaga but if that fails , she runs as independent candidate for Speaker.
If she succeeds then she would pursue her other political goals within NRM.
But if that fails , other options have been weighed including giving a shot at number one seat using another platform not NRM.
The demonstration tomorrow that brings together some NRM and NUP supporters , is meant to drum up the propaganda that touching Kadaga implies instability in NRM.
