Uganda Gazelles captain Jane Asinde has officially ended her brief stint with Spanish top-tier club Ensino Lugo CB.
The club announced her departure on Friday, May 5, 2025, through its official social media platforms, thanking Asinde for her contributions during the final stretch of the season and wishing her well in the future.
Asinde joined Ensino Lugo in February after parting ways with Chinese side Henan Phoenix. Her move to Spain followed a string of strong performances, including being named MVP at the recent FIBA Women’s AfroBasket Zone V Qualifiers—a performance that attracted attention from clubs across the globe.
The 24-year-old has had a decorated career, with experience in NCAA basketball at Wichita State University and the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), along with professional stints in China and Spain.
She is currently back in Uganda, sharing her expertise as a guest coach at the iHoops Basketball holiday program, hosted at Fast Sports indoor court.
