John Katumba the former presidential candidate well know for his compaign name ‘Katumba Oyee’ is set to organise a peacefull demonstration over the hiking fuel prices in the Country.
This comes along as the Country is undergoing a high lift up in Fuel prices as some petro stations have even ran out of fuel, with a litre of petrol now going above 5000shs.
According to Katumba’s letter to the Inspector General of Police, Martin Okoth Ochola, Katumba plans to have a demonstration against the hiking fuel prices.
“Due to the rapid increasing fuel prices that have frustrated our motherland’s economy because of individual selfish interests, we therefore inform you that we shall practice our constitutional right of holding a peaceful protest against the above situation for the betterment of our nation,” says Katumba in his letter.
This comes as Government urged Ugandans not to panic as fuel prices will get back to normal as soon as possible.
