The year 2021/2022 students who have been admitted at Kyambogo University have been advised to apply for the Loan Scheme even when the Admission letters have not yet been given out.
This Students Loan Scheme is a fund from the Uganda Higher Education Students’ Financing Board intended to provide financing to Ugandan students who have qualified for higher Education in recognised Institutions of higher learning and are unable to support themselves financially.
Professor Eli Katunguka Rwakishaya, the University Chancellor said that students should not wait for Admission letters since no one is sure when they will be released.
“ I want to encourage all students who would like to apply for the loan scheme, please go ahead and apply using your admission list, you can use the list which has been published to apply to the loans scheme, the copies have been given to the loan scheme management group,” says Professor Katunguka.
He added that they delayed abit but they are working hard to ensure this is completed as soon as possible to enable students who want to apply for a loan scheme to apply and not miss out on the opportunity.
