LEGEND: Ugandan MP to Hold one Marriage Ceremony for his Two Wives

A former Ugandan Member of Parliament is on the verge of making history for holding one marriage ceremony for his two beloved wives.

Godfrey Watenga Nabutanyi, former Lutseshe County MP is on 28th January 2023 scheduled to marry his two wives in a dowry-giving ceremony at their home in Bubisikwa lower cell, Ibaale Ward, Kuushu Town Council in Bududa District.

The two wives are; Nanzala Beatrice and Nekesa Christine.

According to a copy of the invitation card that this website has seen, Watenga is pictured sandwiched by his two wives most bizarrely.

Watenga contested in the last polls and lost in the NRM Primaries to the current MP Isaac Modoi.

With just a week into the New Year, Watenga stands all the chances of being the “Man of the Year” for such a bold move that is unseen anywhere in this part of the country or even the world.

The 11th Parliament has already recorded some dramatic scenes. During the swearing-in ceremony of the 11th Parliament, the then Soroti East City MP Moses Attan had his attention diverted after his two wives who had accompanied him for the ceremony shoved each other in a bid to stand by the MP’s right-hand side. The MP later apologized before the media and said he settled the matter at home.
